Been with my sister Melanie and my mum to the Alte Oper yesterday to see Saturday Night Fever (Musical). Story was really flat but even the description on alteoper.de says "Zugegeben, die Geschichte um den jugendlichen Tanzhelden Tony Manero und seine ehrgeizige Partnerin Stephanie, die dem Mief der Brooklyner Arbeiterwelt entkommen will, ist an sich wenig aufregend." =: 'The Story around the Dance Hero Tony Manero blah blah blah , is not really exciting' yet the dancing, singing and music was just awesome, well two exceptions a) the Michael Flatley wannabe bits and b) the female protagonist has a voice similar to Alfred Jodocus Kwak (Ryan van den Akker), which is a cute little duck with a cute dutch accent from a kids tele show aired in 1989 (ZDF), which was just strange (well the fact that a male duck has the voice of a dutch girl is strange, too). Her English singing was good nonetheless its just that i always thought oh cute little duck when she was talking in German. >_<
I noticed just yet that there is as well a movie picture staring Travolta same title, same story (at least from what I read on wikipedia) shame on me for not yet seen it, at least I think I did not. Should have a look should have a affordable price or even budget. It's rated 6 something on imdb that doesnt sound that great. But hey 70ies yeah. To bad that That Seventies Show doesn't air anymore. *loves bell bottoms*
