Peta has a campaign for the amzon.com which sends it to the CEO directly or something, you might consider putting your question in their form:
Only recently was I made aware of that amazon sells fur. How should I noticed, I hate it when rich women think that is an adequate replacement for the dick-enlargement Ferrari or Porsche. So I emailed amazon to give me an insight why they do this.
Most annoyingly amazon.de didn't addressed any of my questions and simply claim that they read my email (they did not address any claim) and even claim to agree on many points.
Yet they have to make the biggest selection, whatsoever, for their other costumers as well. Therefor not banning it from the marketplace. Basically this is the same response others have got. Canned email. Really sad.
I will not buy any products from amazon while they continue to do.
Spread the word and if you do have an amazon account ask them yourself why they do this and how you feel about it (like buying elsewhere). Close down your wish list (by simply setting it to private). Hope that they understand loss in sales more then reading email and taking a stand against cruelty.
the canned response (in German) follows:
Guten Tag,

Hey one new strip and a rebrush over at orneryboy dot com. just like mine his sidebar thing is on the other left now, everything but the comic itself seems to be ported to html now and overall it looks more lightweight.
i like it.
The register dot co dot uk reports that Peter Calveley challenged amazon dot com on the 1 click patent because he "[i] can have some fun here".
Well amazon aint that evil company imho but I realy dont see the invention in this and many other digital invention / intellectual property thingies.
For instance this one-click(TM) is nothing more then to apply the behaviour of a good salesperson, that recongnises a returning costumer, on client-server-applications.
Salespersons do this since hundreds of years. I bet that even the cavemen did this already; 3 clams for a deer, delivery to 3-cave way, client identifier would be the face/name.
the article can be found here on the register.co.uk,
patent links can be found at the bottom of the article.
